Bremshey produce some of the best exercise bikes available in the UK. The build quality is second to none and the after sales service offered by Bremshey is also excellent. When choosing an exercise bike from the Bremshey range, the factors to consider are simple: do you want an upright or a recumbent and what features and programs do you want from your exercise bike. Answer these two questions and you'll find a Bremshey exercise bike that is suitable for you.
With the range of exercise bikes that we offer take a look at the specification. Typically this will cover the following elements:
Express Delivery Available
We offer a number of exercise bikes on “Express Delivery” which means that it will be delivered within 3 working days. You can upgrade to Next Day delivery for a small fee.
Console
This describes the features and look of the console. Look out for dot matrix displays which tend give better overall feedback than LED displays. All good exercise bikes will show speed, time and program settings.
Dimensions (H x W x L)
These are the dimensions of the exercise bike when its in it’s usable position. When deciding whether the exercise bike will fit in your home, add a few centimetres to the dimensions of the trainer and you’ll feel far more comfortable when using it.
Feedback
This describes the information that is displayed on the console of the exercise bike when it’s in use.
Flywheel Weight
The flywheel on an exercise bike is attached to the pedals. Generally speaking a heavier flywheel will give a smoother pedalling action.
Heart Rate Control
Most exercise bikes offer heart rate control programs which enable you to train to your own heart rate. You’ll need a compatible chest strap that will communicate with the exercise bike but these are relatively inexpensive and some exercise bikes are supplied with these free of charge. Manual exercise bikes do not offer heart rate control (since they don’t have programs).
Max. User Weight
Each exercise bike is designed to take a maximum weight of user so check the scales carefully (and honestly!!) before picking which exercise bike is most suited to you.
Number of Programs
The more programs that an exercise bike has the more variety and options you have when using the machine. You’ll find that you pick your favourite 2 or 3 programs and stick to those so don’t get too hung up on whether your exercise bike has 10 or 12 programs – in our experience you won’t use them!!
Product Weight
This is the weight of the exercise bike. Make sure that you carefully consider where you will be storing and using the bike in your home.
Programs
Look for fat burn, hillclimbs, heart rate control programs (see the description for heart rate control above), user programs and numerous others.
Warranty
Look for the length of the warranty on the frame and the motor, the number of years that parts and labour are covered and whether the warranty is “return to base”. Most of the better warranties cover in home fixes where an engineer will be sent to your home to repair your exercise bike
Other Information
Consider the height of the seat in relation to your height and how far the seat adjusts up and down. Also make sure that the seat is padded and offers a good level of comfort.
